Behind the Images

A native of Hamilton, Ontario, Garry was always ready to escape the city with his father and brothers, or scouting troop, to be in nature. Early on he learned to respect nature and the environment and to cherish it.

Stationed in Halifax during his lengthy Navy career, Garry would be found deep sea fishing, fly tying and hunting during his time off.  

Upon retirement, Garry purchased an acreage just north of Algonquin Park, and settled in the community of Rutherglen, Township of Bonfield and is known to locals as the guy who posts those beautiful pics!

Garry's photography, which is available for purchase, captures his love of wildlife and especially his favourite subject ... the incredibly diverse bird species found in Northern Ontario.
